Srimad-Bhagavata Vidyapitham, the Bhaktivedanta Book Trust's Sanskrit school is now located in Sri Vrindavan after the departure of H.G Gopiparanadhana Prabhu. The school is still going strong under the guidance of senior devotees and is inviting applicants for joining its program at the start of its sixth year of operation on November 21, 2012

Eight Chowpatty Devotees Pass Away in Tragic Nepal Plane Crash

The devotees were on their way to a pilgrimage at Nepalâs Muktinath Temple, located at the foot of the Thorong La pass in the Himalayas. Reports suggested that the small airplane lost balance due to strong winds, hit a hillock, and broke into pieces just after the pilot reported a problem at around 9:45am local time.
Since the ToVP is a progressive and dynamic project, there is always something happening to capture awe and strike wonder. Recently, it has been a milestone reached in the construction of the super structure. The big dome, central to the temple's design, is on the cusp of being built. As the first photograph shows, the top floor has been completed and now the columns reinforcing the dome are taking shape. The current development of the temple can be seen in the next photograph. This external view showcases the utility floor, the pujari floor, the temple room floor, the 1st through to 3rd floors and the museum floor. The dome will begin from the top and will rise approximately 108 meters. This is an exciting time at the ToVP and a monumental point in the history of this project.
One of our team members recently went over the Jalangi River, to Swarupganj, to see how big the temple looked from that side... and it's now bigger than Srila Prabhupada's Samadhi without the domes! Swarupganj is where Bhakti Vinod Thakuras house is located and if one goes there and peers through his bedroom window, one will see exactly what he saw for the vision of Mayapur.
